*** ATTENTION Novice Parents ***
Novice Evaluations
Sept. 22nd @ Centennial Arena
Sept. 29th & 30th @ the Civic & Forum
Novice Evaluations will be held on
Saturday, Sept. 22nd, Saturday, Sept. 29th and Sunday, Sept. 30th. These are NOT tryouts,
they are player evaluations. After the evaluations are complete, players will be assigned to one of three levels (Development,
Intermediate or Advanced) depending on their ability. This will ensure that the children practice and play games with others
of the same ability throughout the year.
IMPORTANT: An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided on your
child’s registration form, indicating when your child needs to be at the rink. This e-mail will go out no later than
Wednesday, Sept. 19th. Times for Sept. 29th & 30th will be available on the 22nd.
There will be one hour on each of the three days of the Evaluation. If your child misses two or more of the three evaluation sessions, they will be placed in the Development category at the start of the season.
*** Important*** Please don’t forget to make sure your child’s
skates fit this year! I had to buy a new pair of skates for my son just a week before he got on the ice this year. Some of
the larger sporting goods stores in Metro have a program whereby children that are buying new skates every year, return their
old ones for resale. You can get a very good pair of skates for about ½ of the original price.
I’m looking forward to seeing
the kids work hard at practice and having lots of fun this year.
See you at the rink!!!
Regards,
Richard Jordan
