Presidents Message
"a work in progress"
The 2004-2005 season and my first year as president are slowly coming to an
end. We had 941 registered players in our association this past season,
fielding teams in all age categories in our recreational and rep programs. We
had wonderful growth and success in our female program, having all-female teams at the atom, peewee (Provincial Champions),
bantam and midget levels.
I would like to thank our coaches, assistant coaches
and team managers once again for their hard work and dedication making the Halifax
Hawks one of the best minor hockey associations in the province. I would also
like to thank our association executive for their support. The long hours they
volunteered to keep your programs running and organized, was very much appreciated.
In need of volunteers for next year
Many have come forward but
more are needed. The Halifax Hawks are in desperate
need of a few more good people. The current executive needs your expertise. Divisional Directors, coach's, support staff for
web sites, tournaments operations and development are all required for next year. So if you can help, please call. Without
good volunteers this organization can not go forward.
